Welcome to Crime Lab
Crime Lab is an eighth grade science elective at Holly Middle School centered around forensic science. Forensic science, or forensics, is the application of a wide range of sciences, such as chemistry, biology, and physics, to the legal system usually to solve crimes. Forensic science has been used for thousands of years, however, with advances in technology and techniques, even the tiniest traces of evidence can be analyzed. In this class we will be exploring the basics of crime scene investigation, collecting and analyzing different types of evidence, as well as probing into various branches of forensics, such as entomology and anthropology.
